My sister’s wedding was held in a hotel meeting room- it was a very last minute venue change! As you can see, it is really nothing special, but we had to make it work.
Venue before:
The theme was also another last minute change. Maddie loves the Fall season and wanted to incorporate the colors and elements into the wedding, but it wasn’t long before it started coming together like a tacky party! Instead we started leaning toward a “woodsy elegance” vibe.
Venue after:
Chalkboard easel: Hobby Lobby {not online} |
Our crafty mom made the beautiful backdrop. |
Write the “key” to a successful marriage |
wedding wands to wish out the newlyweds |
My sister and her husband made mix CD’s of their favorite love songs as favors for their guests. |
Plaque: Hobby Lobby {on sale!} |
Most of what we used to transform the space was thrifted, vintage, upcycled, handmade, or found on sale. We whipped it together just hours before the ceremony! My sister was so happy that she got everything that she had wanted. Her reception was to follow at a restaurant, so we just had the ceremony and cake in this space.
