Mixed Prints + Spring Fever

Happy Groundhog Day!

mixing prints in muted colors
I was predicting an early Spring this year… But I live in Arizona so it never really did feel like winter! Sure enough though Mr. Groundhog did not see his shadow today- so I removed my jacket in celebration!

I’m going to wear my over the knee boots for as long as I can while the weather is still in transition. Today I’m pairing them with a tee shirt dress and a scarf.

Mixing prints can be difficult to pull off for some, but I have a couple of tips to make it easier:
1. Keep size in mind- mixing a small print and a large print keeps your look from becoming overwhelming
2. Maintain a color palette- working with similar colors helps to create cohesion

Camo is an edgy print in my opinion, so I played off of that with my metal details.

For CA, we actually GOT a winter this year! Needless to say, I was pretty excited, so I'm sorry you didn't really have any 🙁 Love this spring look, too! It's definitely getting me in the mood for warmer weather!
